Words

I am thankful for words. For the tapestry of emotions woven by words--through song, through poetry, through literature, through oration.

                                      I am thankful
                                        for words, words that build
                                          for words that are joyful
                                              for  words that express love.

I am thankful
   for words that are read
      for words that cannot be read
          for words that weave.


                                            I am thankful
                                              for words that fill that dark void
                                                for words that express darkness
                                                    for that moment spoken words fail

                                                       
          I am thankful
            for words that are beautiful
              for words that heal
                for musical words that find us where we are


                                                I am thankful for
                                                 for words one chooses
                                                  for the words that represent a single thought
                                                     for words that examine the soul

                                            
         I am thankful for
            for words that love 
              for words of peace
                for words of gratitude


                                                                  I am thankful for
                                                                    for words of honesty
                                                                      for words in symbols
                                                                       for words that enlighten

                
       I am thankful for
         for words that need no explanation
          for words that need focus                                                                  
            for words of prayer, meditation                                                                      

                                                                  I am thankful for
                                                                   for words with purpose
                                                                    for words with none
                                                                     for words of laughter
                                                         
       
                                             I am thankful to be out of words
                                             but always able to find more
                                              words when I need, the words that I need
                                              when they escape me, words.
